How to Prepare for a Trip to the Med Spa

Blog

Med spas combine the best of two worlds: the spa and the cosmetic surgeon's office. At a med spa, you will find cosmetic procedures scientifically proven to provide great results. You can receive Botox, facial fillers, Emsculping, cryotherapy, and more. Here are four tips to help you prepare for your trip to a med spa.

1. Bring a cloth mask.

In the wake of COVID-19, social distancing restrictions are easing up, but many businesses have implemented new rules to keep patrons safe. You'll likely be required to wear a cloth mask during your treatment. Pack it in your purse so you don't forget. Make sure your cloth mask is comfortable and breathable so you'll be able to fully enjoy your relaxing experience at the spa.

2. Wear loose, comfortable clothes.

Relaxation and beautification are the primary goals of any med spa, so you'll want to wear clothes that help you achieve these goals. Bring comfortable, loose clothes that won't inhibit your movement. You may also want to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Many spa treatments involve lotion, gel, or oils. Massage oil helps lubricate your skin for a better, more comfortable massage, and treatments like ultherapy require a topical gel to help the ultrasound wand glide. The residue may stick to your skin after your treatment, so wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little messy.

3. Leave enough time for your treatment.

Med spa trips are better when they're full-day events. While it's true that some treatments, such as Botox, only take about half an hour, others take longer. You don't want to be in a hurry while you're treating yourself to a day at the spa. Clear your schedule for the day so you can sample various services. You may want to schedule your medical cosmetic procedures first, so you can get the less comfortable part of the day over with. After you've received your treatments, you can relax with traditional spa treatments such as facials or body wraps.

4. Prepare questions for your doctor.

Med spas employ doctors and registered nurses to provide cosmetic treatments to clients. Although a med spa is not your typical doctor's office, you should feel free to treat your doctor as you'd treat any other doctor. Prepare a list of questions you have about your procedure. Feel free to ask about pain levels, recovery time, and your expected results. Your doctor will be happy to furnish you with all the information you require.

Learning About Dying Your Hair At The Salon

Hello, my name is Nina. Welcome to my site about having your hair dyed and styled at the salon. I started going gray at about 30 years of age. As the gray hairs overwhelmed my formerly gorgeous locks, I knew that I needed a quick solution. Unfortunately, the box hair dye products didn't always work well and the results did not last nearly long enough. I started to go to salons to rectify the problem and was instantly hooked. I will use this site to talk about the different dye products and techniques used in the salon. I will also talk about salon styles for your hair.
